ชาจากเมือง Nishio (西尾市) จังหวัด Aichi นั้นมีชื่อเสียงเป็นพิเศษในด้านการผลิตมัทฉะคุณภาพสูง โดยถือเป็นหนึ่งในพื้นที่ปลูกและแปรรูปเทนฉะ (Tencha) ที่ใหญ่ที่สุดของญี่ปุ่น ซึ่งเทนฉะคือต้นทางของการนำไปบดเป็นมัทฉะนั่นเอง

omi-cha (近江茶)🍃 หรือชาโอมิ เป็นชื่อเรียกรวมของชาเขียวที่ผลิตในจังหวัดชิงะ (Shiga) ซึ่งในอดีตรู้จักกันในชื่อแคว้นโอมิ โดยเฉพาะในเมืองโคกะ (Kōka) ที่ถือเป็นแหล่งผลิตชาหลักของจังหวัด โดยมีพื้นที่ปลูกชาที่สำคัญ ได้แก่ “อาซามิยะ” (Asamiya) และ “สึจิยามะ” (Tsuchiyama)
